Talk on 'A path to Self-reliance'

Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): A talk on 'A path to Self-reliance' was held with Neichute Doulo, CEO, Entrepreneur Associates, Nagaland as the speaker at Showuba Baptist Church, Dimapur on October 3.  

Speaking at the programme, Neichute Doulo encouraged the Naga people, especially the unemployed youths and women folk, to take up farming and other agri/horti related activities as a business venture in our land. He stressed on dignity of labour and that one should not be ashamed of starting business with humble beginning which along with hard work and sincerity would uplift the economy of our people. He also stressed on the issue of Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants into Nagaland, especially Dimapur and the danger that such infiltration poses to the economy and life as well as to the existence of the Naga society itself if not taken into serious consideration.  

Showuba Students Union, President, Jangpuh Kihomong in a press release said that the seminar was chaired by Yankiumong Yimchunger and began with an invocation prayer from Rev. Tochumong, Pastor SBC. K. Janger, VCC, Old Showuba gave the welcome address followed by a presentation from Achen Imchen, Managing Director, Els International. A short speech was delivered by Vitho Zao, VCC, Kacharigaon, Phevima. A business session was also conducted.
