DIMAPUR, FEB 7 (MExN): On the expiry of the dead-line of the ‘Final Quit Notice’, served by the NSCN (K) to the Tangkhul community residing in Nagaland, the Tangkhul Hoho has made an appeal to the authorities of the outfit. In a release, the president Joseph Shingnaisui, requested the NSCN (K) to relax the quit notice on “Humanitarian grounds and in Christian spirit” as its members were innocent and peace-loving citizens. The Hoho added that it yearned for peace and unity without prejudice and favouritism towards any particular organization and had always supported the various Naga NGOs and Naga Tribal Hohos in their works for reconciliation and unification of the various Naga National workers and factions. The Hoho further appealed to the NSCN(K) to relax the ban imposed upon the Southern Naga students from appearing the ensuing HSLC examination under NBSC with a view to safeguard the interest of the innocent up-coming student community in pursuing their knowledge.
