Changlang, October 3 (MExN): The Tirap-Changlang and Longding People’s Forum (TCL PeF) has expressed happiness that the Government of India has extended a formal invitation to the NNPGs for talks.
In a press release from its president, N Changmi, the Forum stated engaging in formal talks with the NNPGs is a big leap towards a lasting and peaceful solution.
“We welcome the move of the GOI and are encouraged to see the step taken by them. With this GOI has once again displayed the seriousness and maturity in understanding the long pending Indo-Naga political issue to arrive at a logical conclusion,” it added.
The Forum hoped that both the GoI and NNPGs will be able to hammer out an acceptable and honourable solution and will fulfill the long cherished desire and aspiration of the people at the earliest. Further, it especially lauded the interlocutor RN Ravi for taking such a bold step as demanded by the Forum and also many other civil societies to involve all the stakeholders.
