A teachers and students workshop was conducted at Tewelhi Medo Tyrannus Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero on March 16.

Pfutsero, March 16 (MExN): A teachers and students workshop was conducted at Tewelhi Medo Tyrannus Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero, in collaboration with the District Mental Health Program (DMHP), Phek on March 16.

In the teachers workshop, resource persons, Dr Ngopelo Keviechu, SMO, DH ,Phek and Nodal Officer, DMHP, Phek, and Kelhuolietuo Keyho, Psychiatric Social Worker, DMHP, Phek, spoke on the topics “Dealing with Adolescent/Teenage Students” and “Stress” respectively. 

While among the students, Niko-u Koza, Clinical Psychologist, DMHP, Phek, talked on “Importance of Mental Health among Students: Sound Mind, Sound Body”. The sessions were well deliberated and addressed to the various mental issues faced among young students in the present context and how they were to be dealt with.

The sessions remained interactive with activities and exercises conducted both among teachers and students. The introductory session was chaired by Wate Mero, Principal, TMTHSS while Dr Keviechu, briefed on the workings of the DMHP besides introducing the team members. The programme closed with a prayer by Ngunyi-u Medo, School Director, TMTHSS.
