Along with the rest of the country, Teachers Day is set to be celebrated across educational institutions of Nagaland State on September 5.

The Naga Students' Federation, on this occasion, today stated that as the Naga people aspire towards a vibrant future “we will need qualified and dedicated teachers to usher the younger generation of Nagas into a new era of peace and prosperity.”

A press release from the NSF expressed gratitude to the teachers for “inculcating the virtues of punctuality, honesty, labor, sincerity and other noble traits which are required of a responsible citizen in the hearts of the students.”

“Building a healthy society with strong foundation rests upon good institutions, colleges and universities for quality human resource development to take form,” it added. The federation appreciated the role of teachers in their crucial responsibility of imparting knowledge and creativity in building strong moral character and emotional support among the students' community.

It appealed to all teachers continue to take pride and to continue upholding the noble profession of teaching by maintaining the highest degree of personal integrity and honesty. “The NSF acknowledges the invaluable contribution of teachers towards nation building and wishes them success in the pursuit of their noble endeavor,” it added.
