ZUNHEBOTO, DECEMBER 21 (MExN): Team Zenith defeated LNSA Lizu Naghuto Sports Association by 30 runs to win the Winter Cricket Cup at Zunheboto District Sports Complex ground on December 21.
The tournament which began on December 10 saw the participation of 10 teams. It was organised by Trojans XX club Zunheboto.
Hekato K Yeptho, President, Trojans XX club said that the tournament was organised to encourage the upcoming cricketers of the town. He also reminded that the tournament was being organised after 5 years and with this tournament the club is planning to continue organising every year.
Kheka Zhimo of Trojans XX was adjudged as the best wicket-keeper while Hopito Assumi of team Zenith won the best bowler award. Meanwhile Vinoto Y Kiba from team LNSA was the best batsman and Hopito Assumi emerged as the man of the tournament.
Earlier in the closing ceremony the program was chaired by Kuto Kinny, AGS, Trojans XX while vote of thanks proposed by Kivika G Zhimo, Convenor of the tournament.
