Tening based orgs put ‘course of action’ on hold

Dimapur, May 5 (MExN):  The joint body of student and youth organisations under Tening area led by All Nchangram Students’ Union, Zeme Students’ Union (N) and Tening Students’ Union has unanimously decided to put its ‘volitional course of action’ with regard to non-sanctioning of funds for road repairs, on hold.

In a joint press release on Wednesday, the student bodies and youth organisations stated that the decision was taken after convening a series of deliberations with  leaders from various civil society organisations, public leaders, student leaders along with the standing MLAs from the Peren district. It was a conscious decision to avoid mass gathering with the sole motive to contain and mitigate the rise of COVID-19 cases in the state, it added.

Further, the student bodies and youth organisations entrusted the two MLAs to ensure that their demands materialise and the matter is handled as ‘top priority’ as and when there is an inflow of funds in the state.

It also informed that a ‘poster campaign’ would soon be initiated within Tening area to show its resentment to the state government for its failure to comply with the joint bodies’ ultimatum as published in the local papers. It further stated that it’s ‘course of action’ would be enforced sine die as and when required.
