Two others from Nagaland feature in MHA’s services awards

Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo and two others from Nagaland have been conferred with different services award announced by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on the on the eve of Republic Day.   As per an MHA release, Tetseo was among 88 personnel from various State police forces or central agencies selected for receiving President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

Meanwhile, AIGP (OPS) Kohima Rankathung Vikram Ezung was also among the 662 personnel from various services who were awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

Altogether, a total of 189 Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG), 88  President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 662 Police Medal for Meritorious Service featured in an announcement made by the MHA on the occasion of Republic Day.

Meanwhile, in a separate release, the MHA also announced the conferment of the 42 Correctional Service Medals on prison personnel – comprising of 5 President’s Correctional Service Medal for Distinguished Service and 37 Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service.

The list included Dr Oben Yanthan, Jailor, Central Jail Dimapur, who was awarded the ‘Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service.’
