
Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): The Tesophenyu Group Public Union (TGPU) and Tesophenyu Village Council (TVC), in the interest of the land and plantation owners along NH-61 and those affected by the two lane widening from 40/00km to 72/400Km under Tesophenyu Jurisdiction Kohima said that the spot verification by the department official along with land owners was done in the last part of May 2017.
Tesophenyu Village Council, Chairman, NR Magh and President, Gwachung Chung also stated that the lump sum amount was sanctioned to every land donors without depriving any land owners and there is no such association by name “Rengma Landowners Association (RLA).”
Stating that “It is only few individual vested people who have formed the RLA without consensus from the landowners/donors” the TGPU and TVC alleged that “it is trying to deduct some percentage from the beneficiaries.”
It also informed that “99% of land owners are anxiously waiting for early payment whatever department has assured and as such there is no such question of re-measurement since it will remain as it is.”
