Wokha, May 23 (DIPR): “Society can move forward only when one unearth the “key” to open the lock” Member General Council, (NIEPMD) Ministry of Social, Justice and Empowerment Government of India, Thomas Ngullie said and made a clarion call to the Theologians and people of Wokha village to appreciate others good works in order to open the lock.
He was speaking at the 32nd Kyong (Lotha) Baptist Theological Association conference at Wokha Village Baptist Church on May 22. He reiterated that the best key in human’s life was to appreciate others for their good work. We are lacking in many fields because we have not found the right key, said Thomas and urged the people of Wokha village to start the good deeds from among them.
Reminding the gathering to give their time and effort for those leaders who were ready to stand for their tomorrow, Ngullie said Wokha village was a blessed village, which has been entrusted by the God to lead the Lothas. “You are the owners, let others judge you by your good works”, said Thomas. With the increasing number of theologians in the state, he urged them not to confine at home alone but look beyond which has many avenues and opportunities coming up. Pointing out that many projects and missions to improve the living conditions of the Christians have been going on at our doorsteps, he advised the theologians to understand the scope and avail the opportunities.
The two-day conference began on Saturday. Earlier on the first day, the conference got under way with an opening prayer by KBES executive secretary, Rev. Dr. E. Nrio Ezung. The greetings was delivered by DC Wokha, Rovilatuo Mor NCS and Mhonyamo Yanthan spoke on the topics “The Current Socio-Religious Life Of The Kyong: A theological Concern”. Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry exhorted the gathering on the first day.
Other speakers of the conference were, Principal Mt. TTC, Zanbemo Kithan, Executive Secretary, Police Baptist Churches Association, Rev. Dr. Mong Humtsoe, NBCC finance secretary, Rev. R.P. Murry and CNY Director Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, Elizabeth C. Ovung.
