Around 35 houses were gutted down as a fire broke out at Khermahal, Dimapur on Thursday afternoon. The fire, believed to be caused by electrical short circuit, started around 12:45 pm and razed down several thatched houses, while also causing damage to nearby concrete buildings. 10 fire vans were able to finally contain the fire. Property worth around Rs 90 lakhs is believed to have been destroyed in the fire. No casualty was reported.
