Thüvopisü’s Hill Home gets new school building

Thüvopisü (Phek) March 6 : The 31st years old Hill Home- cum- Sunday School in Thüvopisü Village under Phek district scripted a milestone by getting the much needed new school building which was formally inaugurated by Vezoto (Jack) Dozo, senior PS to minister for health & family welfare Küzholüzo (Azo ) Nienu here Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dozo said the accomplishment of the school building was not end there but many more things need to be done to provide proper education to the children.
He said that through such infrastructure development, the parents must rise on the occasion and realize the importance of education in this modern society.
Dozo told the parents not to rest the whole chapter of teachers for their children education but to play a crucial role in educating their children. He maintained that the parents must not send their children to school for the sake of mandatory but, according to him, their main focus must be to ensure their children fair well and become productive citizen tomorrow.
Dozo strongly felt that the parents must not take examinations as the sole ground for the growth of the children but they should play vital role in ensuring their children keep constant touch with books and home works.
He also encouraged the students to give full concentration in their studies and also to maintain a specific aim.
Also reminding the villagers that the present DAN’s government has given directive not to entertain costly gifts, he asked the villagers to minimize their expenditure on this front.
He made the stance clear that the sole idea of the presence of VIPs as chief guests in several functions are basically to attend to the various problems and to convey right messages to the people on the current state of affairs.
In this, he asked the villagers to refrain from giving expensive gifts to VIPs and encouraged them to practice the use of bouquet as presentation.
He also urged upon the teachers to rededicate themselves and impart quality education to students.
Also stressing on the need of hour for Hill School to move towards he greater height of excellence, he challenged the past pupils of this school to form a Past Pupil Association so that the welfare of the students and the future prospectus can be drawn, which, he said, would ultimately make the school a centre of excellence.
Further, Dozo called upon the villagers to pooh pooh the propaganda and at the same time urged upon them to rise on the occasion and sort out the differences if any.
He maintained that only through the atmosphere of better understanding and “forget and forgive,” the village would find place to move forward with the advanced society.
Earlier, the function was chaired by Vekuto Dozo while Zhodupra delivered welcome address. Vote of thanks was proposed by Murhenyi.
Hill Home School, run by Thüvopisü Village Baptist Church is the lone private school in the village and seemingly requires more fund for the growth of the institution. The support and contribution of each and every individual is the only solution to fulfill its aim in translating the real sense of human resources development.
