
Medico Dimapur to provide free medicines to COVID-19 patients
Dimapur, May 5 (MExN): As the nation and the State reels under the COVID-19 crisis, Medico, a pharmaceutical wholesaler and distributor in Dimapur has announced that it will provide free medicines to COVID-19 patients in Nagaland who are unable to afford medicines from the open market.
In a press release on May 5, proprietors of M/s Medico Dimapur, Basu Damani and Arvind Damani informed of their decision to give free medicines to all needy patients including Police staff on production of valid prescription from designated COVID Centres under the guidance of District Task Force. They stated that the district administration, Commissioner of Police, Medical Superintendant, Nodal Officer for COVID-19 and Assistant Drugs Controller, Dimapur have assured of all co-operation in this endeavor.
The medicines can be collected from Lions Club of Dimapur from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm every day, they informed, adding that the President of Lions Club has consented to provide room for storage and distribution of medicines.
It is advised that a relative or representative of the patient should come with the prescription to collect the medicines by strictly following COVID-19 protocols, they informed.
Out station patients can send their prescription by WhatsApp to Naro Imchen (9612633069) along with name and contact number of the person who will collect the medicines from Lions Club.
"The ever increasing number of Patients in the state has reached an alarming stage and time has come for one and all to join hands for curbing the pandemic," the proprietors stated. In this regard, Basu Damani invited all likeminded people to join hands in the movement against COVID-19 and to curb its spread together.
