Training on comprehensive primary health care held

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 10 (MExN): Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) participated in a four-day training program on extended package services under Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) at the District Hospital's conference hall from October 7-10. 

Dr. Abenthung Murry, District Vector Borne Officer (DVBO) provided an overview of CPHC, which emphasizes preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative health care. He encouraged the nurses to engage actively in the training, highlighting that it would enhance their understanding of the expanded packages of services to be offered at their respective Health & Wellness Centres and Sub-Centers.

Moie Bonnie Konyak, District Programme Manager, delivered a comprehensive overview of CPHC through Health & Wellness Centers.
The training encompassed a range of important topics, including emergency care, mental health, neurological and substance use disorders, oral care services, palliative care, elderly care, eye care services, ENT, reproductive and child health, family planning, adolescent health, and non-communicable diseases.

The sessions were conducted by resource persons Margaret CHO, Yingngam CHO, and Phengna CHO, who shared their expertise and insights on various aspects of health care.
