MOKOKCHUNG, JULY 26 (MExN): A one day training on skill upgradation for young unemployed women under ‘Women in Agriculture’ programme, sponsored by the Department of Agriculture was held at District Agriculture Office, Mokokchung on July 26.
A report from the DPRO Mokokchung informed that resource persons for the training included Joint Director, SARS Yisemyong, Temsuinla and Deputy PD, ATMA Mokokchung, Rongsennungla. They imparted training on food preservatives & value addition and self-employment avenues for women in agriculture. Stressing on the importance of skill development and upgradation, Temsuinla said it increases productivity, creates more employment avenues and builds up self-confidence to venture into different self-employment activities. Earlier in the opening programme, chairperson, Dr. Lanunochetla SMS DAO Mokokchung delivered the welcome address.
