Tribal Artisans Empanelment Mela organised by TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Niuland on July 23.

Niuland, July 23 (MExN): Tribal Artisans Empanelment Mela (TAeM) was organised by TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Niuland on July 23. It was organised in collaboration with District Administration Niuland, Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM), MARCOFED, and DUDA.
DC Sara S Jamir while addressing the participants thanked the TRIFED team for organising the mela in the District and urged them to pave the way in opening the markets for our indigenous/ tribal products to not only India but across the world which will help the artisans to earn livelihood. The DC Niuland also encouraged the TRIFED team to study the demands of the people and suggest necessary feedbacks to meet the market requirements, a DIPR report stated.
Another press release stated that Asif Ekbal Hussain, Senior Programme Executive from TRIFED Guwahati presided over the event, while Mhathung T Tsopoe, representing NBHM, outlined the objectives of TAeMs.
A total of 65 artisans were formally empanelled in categories including handloom, weaving, and handicrafts. This official recognition not only honors their skills but also provides them access to broader markets facilitated by TRIFED.
