Tsiepfutsiepfhe (AG) Upper Sector turns 25

Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, MLA 9th Kohima Town A/C today said Kohima Town as the state capital is meant for everyone. However, Angami tribe as inhabitants of the capital town is the guardian of other tribes who come and settle in Kohima. 

He was addressing the Tsiepfutsiepfhe (AG) Upper Sector 25th Anniversary today at Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) as special guest. 

He said that a Jubilee would be, therefore worth celebrating if one can make people safe, happy, and comfortable here.  "It is worth celebrating if we are able to create safe places for others who belong here," he stated. 

Rhütso also said that Jubilee was a time to forgive and cleanse oneself of enmity with others. 

Stating that, the colony dwellers unlike village does not cultivate, however considers good academic performance of the children as a good harvest for parents, he therefore urged the students to do well and bring good harvest to their parents. 

To the parents, the guest speaker said that, in the competitive world, "we should guide them not merely for certificates and degrees but give them freedom to choose their field of interest so that they are employable as employability is more important than certificates today." 

Kevipodi Sophie, MLA, 14th Southern Angami I A/C who was also speaking as the chief host said 25 years if compared to a human being is considered a prime age of a person who during this stage, is young, vibrant and dynamic to do many things. 

He urged the colony members to "try to unite ourselves and contribute what we can to our colony so that it can become a model colony to other colonies in Kohima."

Sophie urged the members to make the colony a peaceful place where law and order is maintained and rules and regulations enforced in the colony is obeyed. 

The first presidential address was delivered by Keneikrül Noswe. 

The programme was chaired by Vilekho Bio, Advisor. During the programme Neizokhotuo Belho, Chairman, TTC delivered greetings and Vikhoto Mekro gave the welcome address and Hokiye Kire, Head GB, TTC exhorted the gathering.
