TSU laments shortage of teachers in Noklak

Noklak, August 12 (MExN): The Thang Students’ Union (TSU), Noklak village conducted the second phase of school visit under Noklak village and Noklak town from August 1 to 5.


The TSU in a press release said that the officials had a productive interaction with the students and teachers regarding the various grievances and functioning of the respective schools. 


“In the course it has come to our knowledge of the various loopholes which needs urgent corrective measures,” TSU President Pusho P and Assistant General Secretary Shing B stated in the release. 


GHS Noklak village has been functioning without Headmaster and Assistant Headmaster for almost a year, consequently affecting the smooth functioning of the school. At GMS Noklak Station, there was no science teacher. GPS Noklak Village which introduced Class 5 this academic session as per the direction of the Directorate of School Education was found to be functioning despite shortage in teaching staffs due to the effort of the SMC and Village Council to manage two teachers in their own arrangement.


In addition, the TSU team identified the need for infrastructural up gradation in all of the government schools, separate toilets for boys and girls needs to be constructed urgently, and the regularity and punctuality of the teachers are to be strictly monitored.


It added that Christian High School, Noklak was found to be faring quite satisfactory in academic discipline.
