Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has submitted a letter to the District Transport Officer to expedite the introduction of buses in Dimapur district.
“The officer assured us that all legal framework and legalities has been worked out and as soon as the buses are available they will execute the work,” informed a press release from TSUD president, Azo Wetsah and information & publicity secretary, Asin Rengma.
In the letter appended by the above mentioned officials, TSUD highlighted that due to escalation of petrol and diesel prices, the auto fares have dramatically increased causing untold miseries to students and public alike. Therefore, it requested the DTO to provide alternative arrangement to alleviate the miseries faced by the citizens.
Expressing happiness that the ETA Regional Transport Authority has worked out necessary legal framework and ground rules, the union in this regard requested to expedite the introduction of buses so as to ease the woes of the students in particular and the public in general.
