Tuensang: COVID-19  testing to increase

Tuensang, June 18 (MExN): The Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 had a meeting on June 18 to deliberate on the new standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the state’s High Powered Committee.  The meeting was chaired by Tuensang Deputy Commissioner and DTF Chairperson Kumar Ramnikant, a DIPR report informed. The members discussed the new SOPs and mulled on increasing the COVID test ratio and vaccination drive in the district.

The Tuensang Medical Department was also asked to update the test and vaccination data on a daily basis instead of the current weekly updates, so that the DTF can plan and execute as per the data, the DIPR stated.

The house also decided to target priority testing for the drivers of taxis and buses of Tuensang. It also agreed to allow opening of all shops dealing in essential commodities on all days of the week and non-essentials to open on alternate days.
