Tuensang, February 11 (MExN): Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of DC and Vice Chairman, DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant at DC Conference Hall on February 9.
The meeting started with the review of previously discussed minutes.
On registration of societies for PwDs and Eastern Nagaland Agri & Allied Farmer Association, on the recommendation and verification of the concerned department it was decided to be forwarded to the government for further procedures.
Agendas discussed included upgradation of Noksen SDO (C) to ADC, resumption of NST bus service from Tuensang to Noksen, invitation of All wards union Tuensang Town during the town road construction to which the TTC Administrator Ajit Kumar Verma, ADC Tuensang highlighted the need of temporary shifting of water pipelines and the vegetable vendors of the daily market during the market area road construction activities.
The DC and Vice Chairman Kumar Ramnikant announced taking over of portion of NH 202 by NHIDCL where he also mentioned the need of sitting with NHDICL authorities for planning and execution. Executive Engineer National Highways Tuensang appealed for the cooperation of the public with the company for swift execution of the work.
The DC also highlighted on the district’s COVID 19 vaccination drive activities headed by Medical Department where he also updated the number of registration of frontline workers done so far and also asked for cooperation to the department since it’s a huge task.
Renovation of Badminton Stadium led by the Officers Club Tuensang will be starting by February 25.
The Agriculture department and Tuensang Town Council gave a presentation on all its schemes, programmes, activities, implementations and management. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Tuensang distributed table calendars in the meeting.
