Wokha, January 5 (MExN): The Wokha Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) established an MVCP in general area at Foot Hill rd Junction, based on specific information and apprehended Yons Lotha alias Pochoru, Driver, Age 38, residence of Sangla Village, Wokha district and T B Gurung, Co-Driver, Age 48, residence of Wokha Town, Wokha district along with illegal liquor from a TATA 407 Pickup Vehicle bearing registration No NL 05 G 0546. The AR in a press release informed that the recovered illegal liquor includes 957 bottles of MC Dowell Rum, 1152 bottles of Officers Choice Whisky, 1392 cans of Kingfisher Beer, 1896 cans of Foster Beer and 504 cans of He Man Beer. The approximate cost of seized liquor is Rs 7.5 lakhs. The apprehendees along with illegal liquor were handed over to Bhandari Police Station for further investigation.
