Peren, June 4 (MExN): The Peren District Medical Team along with the police department and the administration carried out random sampling test in all the 4 blocks of the district. The samples were collected from taxi drivers, auto drivers, shopkeepers, travellers and construction workers.
On June 2 and 3, led by Dr Vezokholu Khamo, MO Athibung PHC, a total of 100 samples was tested at Athibung Town, out of which 2 tested positive.
On June 1 and 3, led by Dr Ihube, MO DH Peren, 74 samples were tested at Peren Town, and all were negative. In Jalukie Town, Dr Imnuk, Epidemiologist IDSP Peren led the sampling exercise on June 2 where a total of 50 were tested, and all were negative.
At Tening Town, the sample collection was led by Dr Menangtongzuk, MO Tening CHC and Dr M Nuksung Jamir, MO Tening CHC on June 3. A total of 26 were tested and all were negative. On June 3, at Samsuiram, a total of 54 samples were tested and all were negative, the CMO office, Peren informed on Friday.
