The Union Baptist Church (UBC) Children’s Choir will be performing a musical play called The Two By Two Zoo Cruise on April 9 at UBC Kohima, 4 pm. Formed in 2011, the Choir consists of 97 members at present from the age group of 6-15 years. This will be the second concert for the young singers who performed R. Kevichüsa’s composition in 2014. They have performed two musical plays during the NBCC Platinum Jubilee and Kohima Baptist Church Council Jubilee besides performing in other concerts. The Two By Two Zoo Cruise is a composition of Dr. Michael and Jill Gallina. Dr. Michael and Jill Gallina have achieved national prominence as composers of musical plays and choral music for youth in elementary, middle, junior and senior high schools. Their clever creations in story and song have consistently won awards from the Parent’s Choice Foundation, American Library Service, and American Society of Composers Authors Publishers (ASCAP). Their music have been featured and performed on the Disney Channel, the world’s Largest Concert, Public Broadcasting Service, The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Sing for the Cure, The New York Philharmonic, The Boston Pops, and in a documentary of children rights for the United Nations.
