Dimapur, February 1 (MExN): Two cadres from the NSCN (IM) were arrested on separate occasions during January 30-31 in Dimapur by the Assam Rifles and the Indian Reserve. One of the underground cadres was arrested for snatching the bag of a lady who was shopping.
The Dimapur Police informed in a note today that troops of the 24 Assam Rifles arrested one NSCN (IM) cadre “ss maj” J Sangwo Janger (47) of Khungchuri in Pungro, Kiphire district from Signal Angami on January 31, 2011. The AR had recovered 4 7.65 mm pistol with 8 magazines from his possession. The accused is said to be a resident of Green Park, Dimapur.
Also, on January 30, the 13 IR arrested a “bag snatcher” one “ss corporal” Vihuka Aye, 21 years, of Yehemi village under Zunheboto. He was arrested by a patrol party of 13th IR after the accused snatched and looted money and 2 mobile phones from the handbag of a lady while shopping at Super Market, Dimapur.
