Kohima, May 4 (MExN): The Thuvopisumi Welfare Union Kohima (TWUK) and Thuvopisumi Youth Association Kohima (TYAK) have condemned the alleged assault of its member Dr Nusazo Tetseo, Medical Doctor, Bethel Hospital Kohima.
In a press release on Tuesday, the organisations stated that “a group of rowdy individuals led by one Binod Nepali, a local taxi driver illegally searched the private residence of the doctor on the unfounded charge of thievery,” on April 30. Subsequently, on May 1, the same group of people allegedly publicly harassed and humiliated the doctor within the confines of Bethel Hospital Kohima on the “unestablished charge of stealing his mobile phone,” it stated.
As such, the organisations requested the law enforcing authorities to deliver justice at the earliest “failing which the two bodies should not be held responsible for any untoward incident that might happen to Binod Nepali, the local taxi driver,” the release stated.
