Dimapur, December 19 (MExN): The United Baptist Churches Association – North East India (UBCA-NEI) has extended its support to the Naga Political Groups in their ongoing negotiations with the Government of India.
A resolution to extend its support was adopted during the 10th Annual General Body Conference 2017 at the United Baptist Church, Thahekhu Block-3, Rangapahar, Dimapur, a press release from the association stated. We strongly support the efforts to bring a permanent political settlement and uphold them in our fervent prayers and fasts, the resolution stated.
The UBCA also extended strong support and cooperation towards the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) in their call for clean elections. Voicing out its opposition to violence and the unscrupulous use of money, the association prayed for the impending state assembly elections to be both clean and peaceful.
