Bokakhat, February 26 (MExN): UCO Bank on February 23 organised a Resource, MSME, Retail, and Agriculture Carnival camp, inviting current and prospective customers to explore the Bank’s financial products and services. Chinmoy Kumar Sahu, Deputy General Manager from the Bank’s Head Office in Kolkata, graced the event as the chief guest.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Zonal Manager Narendra Pratap Singh, who emphasised the Bank’s commitment to customer growth and socio-economic development in Assam. He highlighted UCO Bank’s strong IT infrastructure, shared guidance on cybersecurity and risk management, and noted that the Jorhat Zone has sanctioned loans exceeding ₹665 crore to 9,527 beneficiaries in the current financial year.
Resource Head Amit Kumar elaborated on the Bank’s deposit schemes, including the UCO 444 Term Deposit (6.95% for general citizens, 7.45% for senior citizens) and women-centric products such as UCO Aparajita, UCO Jay Lakshmi, and UCO Sanchayika. He also introduced the CGSSA salary account for government employees and highlighted benefits for corporate account holders, including free POS machines and QR Codes.
Deputy General Manager Sahu briefed attendees on UCO Bank’s Q3 achievements for FY 2025-26: deposits over ₹3.10 Lakh Crore, advances over ₹2.43 Lakh Crore, and total business exceeding ₹5.53 Lakh Crore. He encouraged customers to adopt digital banking for loans, accounts, and payments, noting the Bank’s highly rated mobile app (4.7) and active social media presence.
The event concluded with feedback collection from customers. Other dignitaries present included Hemanta Chetia, Branch Manager Bokakhat, Niharika Devanath, Assistant Branch Manager, Pooja Borah, Customer Service Associate, and Srikanta Mandal, Senior Manager, MSME & Agriculture Hub, Jorhat.
