
Kohima, January 24 (MExN): A sensitization programme for school heads/principals on implementation of real time UDISE plus online 2022-2023 and students profile was conducted at Educational Block Resource Centre (EBRC) hall Tseminyu on January 23 last.
It was organized by District Mission Authority (DMA) Samagra Shiksha Kohima.
In his keynote address, Thonsenglo Kath Assistant District Coordinator, DMA Samagra Shiksha Kohima highlighted that UDISE+ (Unified District Information System for Education) is a system of online real-time data collection from schools and to overcome the limitations related to the erstwhile practice of manual data filling in paper format.
In the UDISE+ system, improvements have been made particularly in the areas of data capture, data mapping and data verification, he said.
The system collects information from all recognized and unrecognized schools imparting formal education from pre-primary to Class XII. It also collects information through an online Data Collection Form (DCF) on parameters such as school infrastructure, level of dropouts, enrolments, examination results etc. spread across 11 sections.
Information collected through the digital platform of UDISE+ helps the central and state governments to plan, optimize resource allocation and implement various education-related programmes and assessments of progress made. Moreover, it contains data related to school safety, expenses, vocational education, etc, he said.
Aseno, Assistant Programmer, DMA Samagra Shiksha Kohima was the resource person and briefed the trainees on Data Capture Format (DCF) UDISE plus online and students profile. Rushulo Khing, coordinator EBRC Tseminyu chaired the inaugural function. Francis Magh, TOTs assisted the training programme as the recorder while Hinilo Cheng, TOTs proposed vote of thanks. 46 government schools and eight private schools attended the programme.
