
Tuensang, August 18 (DIPR): UJALA scheme was launched at DC conference hall, Tuensang on August 18 with L Jamithung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang as the chief guest. It was attended by administrative officers, GBs, DBs and presidents of all 13 wards and VCC members of villages within Tuensang Town. Chairman, C/Khel Tuensang Village and President, All Ward Union appreciated the district administration for taking up such an important scheme for the people of Tuensang.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the gathering to use LED bulbs issued under the UJALA scheme. LED bulbs distributed will be of 9 watts which will consume less energy and will emit more brightness, the DC said. He also enlightened the house about the use of LED bulb, which will reduce the atmospheric temperature and contribute to the control of global warming.
