
Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): Making its first political statement ahead of the forthcoming state assembly elections, the United Naga Democratic Party of Nagaland says the party is for unification as much for a peaceful solution. The UNDP took to appreciation the active initiative of the Nagaland GBs and DBs for unification of the warring Naga underground groups in Nagaland. “The UNDP stands anywhere and everywhere for the unification of all the factions…” a release from the party’s vice president TK Meyo Khiamniungan stated. The party termed the recent ceasefire agreement for six months between the factions as a welcome and positive step. “The UNDP will support the work for unification and peace solution for the Naga problem as it is the principle and motto of UNDP” it asserted.
