DIMAPUR, JANUARY 19 (MExN): Shine CC and Das Brothers CC won their respective matches in the ongoing 6th Unity Cup T-20 cricket tournament in Chümoukedima.
In the first match of the day, Shine CC defeated Nagamese Baptist Fellowship Chümoukedima village by 79 runs.
Batting first and setting a target of 149 runs in 20 overs, Shine CC managed to bowl out NBF CC, 79 runs short of the target. Sana of Shine CC was adjudged man of the match for his 34-run knock.
Meanwhile, Das Brothers CC defeated Royal CC by 3 wickets in the second match of the day. Batting first, Royal CC could manage only 61 runs in 20 overs.
Das Brothers CC reached the target in 9 overs, losing 7 wickets.
Narayan of Das Brothers CC was adjudged man of the match for his 9-run knock and 3 wickets haul.
The tournament organized by Nepali Baptist Church (NBC) Chümoukedima Sports Ministry kicked off in Chümoukedima on January 16 under the theme ‘Solidarity for Peace’.
