DIMAPUR, JANUARY 23 (MExN): Big Shots and Dimapur Slammers registered wins in their respective matches at the ongoing Unity Cup.
The first match saw Big Shots win against Vencient XI by 155 runs.
Batting first, Big Shots scored 240 runs in 20 overs. Captain Imliwati was the highest scorer making 60 runs. He also bagged 3 wickets.
Chasing the target Vencient XI CC fell short of 155 runs scoring 86 runs in 20 overs. Imliwati was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match of the day, Dimapur slammers overcame Zeliang Colony winning the match by 113 runs.
Batting first, Dimapur Slammers CC managed to score 199 runs in 20 overs. Zeliang Colony in failed to reach the target as they were bowled out for 87 runs. N Nagaho of Dimapur Slammers was adjudged man of the match for his 38 runs knock and 1 wicket haul.
Dokina Das, Asst. Professor, Mount Mary College and Anand Gurung, President of Gorkha Students Union Dimapur were the match patrons for the first and second matches respectively.
