Unity must include all Nagas: ENPO

Dimapur, December 11 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) welcoming the recent efforts for unification, has nevertheless appealed that all such moves should include all Nagas regardless of “territorial demarcation”. Informing the stand of the ENPO, its spokesman Toshi Wungtung stated that the ENPO had resolved that all efforts undertaken must be in the interest of all Nagas and as such every Naga tribe big or small, developed or underdeveloped, within and outside the State of Nagaland must be consulted and included for a lasting and peaceful oneness amongst Nagas. The ENPO believed that the “Naga objective” must be pursued within the environment and spirit of oneness and fearlessness and that this “perhaps can be the roadmap towards achieving any tangible result in the future or even latter”. The ENPO appealed to all sections, groups, factions etc. for complete cessation from any form of violence, threat, intimidation and above all discrimination in any form with immediate effect and at the same time cautioned not to undermine one another adding that this will perhaps be honourable, respectable and acceptable and the cure to the Nagas’ ailment, keeping in mind the professed status of a Christian State.
