First Kandi area inter-school literary competition
Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): The first Kandi area inter-school literary competition was held under the theme, ‘Untapping Young Minds’ on August 8 at Indoor Stadium cum Community Hall at Sishunu Village.
GHS Kandinu Headmaster Khekiya Kez in a press release stated that the event was initiated by Government High School Kandinu and organized in collaboration with Government Middle School Kandinu and Lami School Tsonsa, all under Kandi jurisdiction. It was attended by students and teachers of the three respective schools, village leaders, parents and well wishers.
A colourful cultural fashion show was displayed by students of Lami School followed by a special number by Senpenlo Tep and friends. Competition hour commenced following the announcement in which young aspiring competitors participated in drawing, essay writing, story writing, Spelling Bee and quiz competition. Choreography performance was presented by the students of GHS and GMS.
Speech was delivered by Kenneth Kath, President (Rengma Selo Zi). After the speech, prizes along with certificates were handed to the winners of various activities by the chief guest. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mitsalo kath of GHSK and benediction was pronounced by Sir Calvin of GMSK. The event was followed by light refreshment.
