Kiphire, February 8 (MExN): The Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) members have decided to recommend the proposal for upgrading Longmatra and Sitimi EAC circles to subdivisions during its meeting on February 8.
The decision was taken after lengthy deliberations at the DC's Conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner T Wati Aier who is also the board’s vice- chairperson, a DIPR report informed.
The board members also discussed and approved the proposal for registration of Longmatra Area Students Union and recommended the matter to the higher authority for necessary action.
According to the DIPR, various departments including the PHED, Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, and MGN Fellows gave presentations on their activities and the DC also directed the Cooperation Department and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department prepare presentations for the next meeting. Earlier, new four members— DPA & DDMA Bubu Patrick Golmei; DSO, Anguvito Sumi; JSO(S&WCD), Shekimu H Sumi and AEO (Election) Bisalee Thonger were introduced to the Board members.
It also stated that the Deputy Commissioner informed all the heads of offices to reach the office by 10:20 am in view of the Governor’s arrival. The DC also gave necessary directives and guidelines for the programme, it said.
