DIMAPUR, APRIL 30 (MExN): The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare has informed that vaccination of people in the 18-44 age groups will commence in the State “only when the state has received the vaccine from the suppliers.”
A press release from Dr Ritu Thurr, State Immunisation Officer informed that so far, the State has received a letter from the Serum Institute India (SII) stating that the SII will be supplying 36,580 doses of COVISHIELD. “Whereas the state is processing to procure 4 lakh doses, to begin its 3rd phase of Covid vaccination,” the press release added.
“Though registration at selfregistration.cowin.gov.in and Aarogya Setu App will continue to register new beneficiaries, booking will start only when the State announces the date for commencement of vaccination for the 3rd Phase i.e. 18-44 age group,” it informed.
