DIMAPUR, JANUARY 13 (MExN): A workshop on vaccination of 15-18 year olds and precaution dose for health care workers, front line workers and 60+ people with co-morbidities was held on January 13 at the CMO conference hall, Mon.

District Immunization Officer (UIP&RCH), Dr Shasinle Tep gave a presentation on the guidelines for vaccinating 15-18 year olds, guidelines on precaution dose for HCW & FLW and citizens above 60+ with co-morbidities, and management of the Covaxin vaccine. Dr Shasinle requested the people to widely publicize the centres where vaccination for the 15-18 age group will be available. 

Vaccine Cold Chain Manager UNDP, Sosopem Muinao also gave a detailed presentation on the CoWIN updated vaccinator module for both the precaution dose and the 15-18 year age group vaccination.

Further, the workshop included discussion on the Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI), Intensified Mission Indradhanush and Routine Immunization Micro-planning.

The meeting was attended by all the senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers, IEC personnel and Prodigals Home.

Meanwhile, a demonstration on portable ECG on smart phone was given by Sunfox technology. With the initiative of Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelen K, the device is sponsored by NASSCOM foundation and will be distributed to six health units of Mon District—Tizit CHC, Wakching PHC, Phomching PHC, Chen PHC, Aboi CHC and Tobu CHC.
