Jalukie, July 17 (MExN): Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, New Jalukie conducted 20th Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the church from July 9 to 15.
Conducted on the theme ‘Get Connected’ (Ephesians 2:19), the weeklong Bible School was held with Christian Education Director of the church, Aphun Gonmei as VBS Director. 19 VBS teaching staff including music team, church volunteers, VBS Committee members, Women Department catering team and altogether 213 students took part in it.
A press release from Aphun Gonmei informed that there were six different classes during the event – Pre-Beginners, Beginners, Primary, Juniors, Intermediate and Seniors. Each day of the week was observed as Day of Cleanliness and Beauty; Day of Labor; Children’s Day; Day of Giving; Teacher’s Day & Day of Witnessing; Tiffin Day & Day of Recreation; and Final Day with Love Feast.
During the week, the children learned Bible lesson stories with work and also had devotional theme for each day based on the main theme ‘Get Connected’, the release stated. There was also class activities presentation each day and sing along led by the music team in the evening session.
On the Final Day, Jaogailung Gangmei, Youth Secretary, RBCA encouraged and shared on the theme to the children and the congregation. Later, Hugiak Gonmei, Secretary, VBS Committee thanked all the staff, church council, departments under the church, volunteers, VBS Matung Phwam, catering team, donors, contributors in cash and kind, VBS Committee members for the service rendered in different capacities and students for their participation.
