Dimapur, April 15 (MExN): The Nagaland State VDB Association has resolve to approach the Government to issue the administrative order at the earliest and for enhancing the VDB tenure from 3 years to 5 years.
It was resolved during the annual meeting of the Association which was held on April 14 at CPO Hall Chumukedima. The Association in a press release issued by its president Tali Pongneer stated that the meeting discussed about many issues pertaining to the VDB concerned and the house adopted resolutions after prolong discussion. It also resolved to approach and request the government to conduct the VDB quiz completion to be held every year.
In connection to the construction of Block Ghar under all block within the State, the Association has resolved to approach the government to allocate the work to the respective block Association to execute for proper and smooth functioning and quality work and also to avoid any unwanted uncalled for. The house also resolved that every district will contribute an amount of rupees 20,000 to the State Association Office for smooth functioning of its office in the state and to bear various expenses.
The meeting also resolved that all VDB secretaries should insist for proper work order while distributing the work/scheme from the concerned authority for transparency. Further, it resolved to approach the government to maintain good relation in between the VDBs and the government in allocation of work/fund figure/mistakes must be rectified and consulted or publicized in future by the department to avoid misunderstanding and inconvenience.
