Vice President of India on one-day visit to Nagaland

Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): The Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu will arrive at Dimapur on October 7 (Thursday) as part of his one-day visit to Nagaland. During his visit, Naidu will visit ICAR –NRC on Mithun, Medziphema; hold meeting with the state Governor, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and ministers at Police House, Chümoukedima. 

According to sources, the VP will be also inaugurating office buildings of Directorate of IT&C Kohima; buildings of government high schools; and minister’s residential complex, Kohima. Later, the VP will witness a cultural programme by cultures of NEZCC in Dimapur. 

The VP is scheduled to leave for Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh on October 8 morning, “based on weather conditions.” 

Earlier on Tuesday, Kohima Police had issued a traffic advisory in view of the visit of the Vice President of India to Kohima from October 7 to 9. However, on Wednesday Kohima Police issued a press release informing that the traffic advisory “stands cancelled.”
