Vikheho Swu calls for time frame completion of projects

Parliamentary secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Y. Vikheho Swu today stressed on the need to set a target for successful implementation of irrigation projects in the state. 

Speaking at the felicitation function here at the chief engineer’s office, Irrigation & Flood Control, Vikheho emphasized on the need to have vision and frame time for completion of MI projects in the state, and also stressed on the need to seriously ponder over sustainability of the project to ensure it truly benefits the people of the state. In this, he asserted that operation and maintenance of the projects should be taken into account with seriousness.

He also opined on the need to adopt the Japanese method of management where one goes to the spot and verify the problems if any. The Parliamentary secretary also urged his departmental officials to cultivate the culture of accepting and respecting each other “as it is equally responsible and important”. He also sought the cooperation of the department to be sincere in all their assigned duties for the welfare of the people and the department.

The programme was chaired by Principal Secretary, Irrigation & Flood Control, Binchilo Thong IAS.

Power point presentation was given by Chief Engineer I&FC, T. Yanger Ao and vote of thanks was proposed by Additional Chief Engineer, I&FC, Er. Echongbemo Lotha.
