Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Mikha Kenye today asserted that village is the base and foundation of a strong society and called upon the people to uphold such principle.
Speaking as the special guest on second day of the 5th Cultural Day of the Middle Khomi Village-cum-Sühkrünye festival, he reiterated that integrity and honesty is our culture, for which he called upon the villagers to live up to such virtues.
Expressing happiness for accessing good road connectivity, he urged upon the villagers to take full advantage to improve the socio-economic standard.
He also maintained that forest is “our common wealth” and urged the people to preserve the same to maintain ecological balance.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Vepocüyi Lohe while welcome address as delivered by Venese Tenenu.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Hüpasa Nakro.
