Dimapur, March 12 (MExN): A police constable attached as part of a VIP escort team was wounded in an accidental shooting incident in Dimapur on March 12. According to police sources, the service rifle of the constable accidentally went off with the bullet hitting him. The sources said that it happened when the motorcade, which was escorting a Nagaland State Minister, made a stopover by a roadside shop at Riverbelt colony, Circular Road. While the condition of the injured constable could not be ascertained, the sources said that he was hit on the chin.
