Kohima, February 8 (MExN): Vipopal Kintso, intending candidate of Janata Dal (United) from 15th Southern Angami-II Assembly Constituency, made his official candidature declaration at Kidima village on February 6.
After filling nomination on February 6, he sought the blessings and support of the people for the elections.
Kintso, a former president of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), informed that he decided to contest in the forthcoming Nagaland General Election 2023 as JD (U) candidate as JD (U) is a secular National Party and it has significant concern for the Naga political issue as well.
For instance, he stated, the contribution of JD (U) mentor Jaya Prakash Narayan as part of the NBCC Peace Mission which influenced in bringing peace in the Naga region is fondly remembered. “We have been committed for inclusive and progressive development in our constituency. As such, for the wellbeing of the region and prospects in JD (U) ticket, let us endeavour towards victory,” he stated.
