
Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): More condolences poured in for Visasolie Lhoungu, former Nagaland BJP President and Chairperson of Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency who passed away at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima on Tuesday.
Mourning his demise, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) KG Kenye stated that the people of Nagaland have lost a responsible citizen who formerly served the Government of Nagaland and held various positions in the department of Rural Development. He later joined politics to reach the highest position of a political party as the BJP President of the Nagaland State Unit, Kenye stated.
“Visasolie Lhoungu will be fondly remembered as a steady and responsible leader whose void may be hard to fill,” he said, as he conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and all his near and dear ones.
In another statement, the Kohima Press Club expressed sadness over the demise of Visasolie Lhoungu, father of former KPC General Secretary Khriezovonuo Lhoungu.
“Words are not enough to comfort the bereaved family but we pray to our Almighty God to grant them solace and strength at this time of grief. While we convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, we also pray that the departed soul would rest in eternal peace,” the KPC statement read.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Minister for Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue &Parliamentary Affairs Neiba Kronu described late Lhoungu as “a humble, dedicated senior figure who served for the welfare of the party in particular and the benefit of the Nagas as a whole.”
In his demise, we have lost a good and humble leader who always worked for the upliftment of the society, Kronu stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family
May his departed soul rest in eternal peace, he added.
