Winners of the 56th SASA Wrestling Meet with officials.
Our Correspondent Kohima | January 30 Visevo Zashümo of Phesama Village defeated Kekhrie Yhoshii of Kigwema Village to emerge as the champion of the 56th Wrestling Meet of Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) held here today. Standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 85 kg, the 34 year-old Visevo Zashümo, son of Suolahie Zashümo, has now won the SASA wrestling meet three times (2014, 2016, 2018). Visevo walked away with cash prize of Rs. 80,000 while runner-up Kekhrie Yhoshii received Rs. 60,000. Kevime Vitsu of Viswema Village was awarded third place after his opponent Vitsoto Vitsu failed to turn up due to injuries. The third and fourth placed winners received Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. Quarter finalists namely Kediseto Kiso, Bode-o Zhasa, Sahovi John Phinyo, Viphrezo Mejura pocketed Rs. 5000 each. Class I contractor Vilelie Khamo was the chief guest at the inaugural function. Meanwhile, Free Style wrestling will take place on January 31 from 10:00 am onwards. Kevithuto Sophie, NPS, AIG (Provisioning), PHQ will grace the valedictory function as the guest of honour
