Visions of PDA will continue beyond present tenure: NDPP

DIMAPUR, MARCH 8 (MExN): As the Peoples Democratic Alliance (PDA) completed three years in power, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today reiterated its support to the PDA in carrying forward the policies and programmes of the government “with the hope and belief that the visions and commitment of the PDA will continue beyond the present tenure.”

A press release from the NDPP media and communication committee further stated that the party stands “firm in our commitment to provide development and progress to the people in consonance with our slogan development for all; together with all.”

The NDPP meanwhile put on record gratitude to the various Tribal Hohos, Civil Society Organisations, NGOs and the citizens of Nagaland “for the immense support without which the government would not have managed to run the affairs of the State smoothly these last three years.”

It also thanked the NDPP’s alliance partners the BJP and the Independent legislators for their “unwavering support in taking forward the visions and commitments of the PDA Government.”

“It is our firm belief that this partnership will only grow from strength to strength and will continue to carry forward the dreams and aspirations of the people. The PDA government under the leadership of the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio must be lauded and commended for having steered the State despite the many difficulties involved especially during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the party said.

It meanwhile acknowledged the PDA for avoiding celebratory events and programmes in view of the pandemic and “as a gesture of genuine concern and to support the austerity drive of the State Government.”
