Volunteers donate blood

Dimapur, February 11 (MExN): The NSS-Unit of Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) under the guidance of Bendangnungsang, Programme Officer, NSS, organized a blood donation camp under the theme “Donate Blood, Save Lives” on February 5 at the college Health Clinic Centre.
The Programme Officer in a press release stated that Dr. Temsu, Medical Office, in charge of Blood Bank, civil hospital, Dimapur was the resource person. He exhorted the NSS volunteers by giving a brief preface on the significance of Blood donation and its provisions on saving lives, by saying that the pleasure of being, is life saver. By donating blood, we are not only saving the life of people but also build relationship between donors and recipients. He further said that, in terms of nobility (Blood donation), Patkai NSS-Unit are well ahead and welcome the excellent work done for the people in need. At the end, 38 volunteers came forward and donated blood and received certificates, caps and badges from the medical team of civil hospital.
