DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 10 (MExN): The Western Rengma Hoho, with its headquarter in Dimapur, was formed after a consultative meeting on October 27. The press release issued by the president of the Hoho, Khillo G. Rengma stated that the Rengmas of the plain sector and the Rengma Hills, are traditionally the same stock of people, settled in a compact geographical area. However they came under the British administration, when the administrative headquarter was at Samaguting then in Kohima and were divided into separate administrative units under Kohima, Sibsagar (Golaghat) and Nowgaon. Thus the consultative meeting deliberated several times and resolved to form the Western Rengma Hoho and selected its office bearers led by Khillo G Rengma as president and Yhonibu as general secretary.
